MONTHLY FILL-A-BELLY
COMPASSIONATE SERVICE PROJECT
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

FILL-A-BELLY MONTHLY DATES: FEBRUARY 27; MARCH 20; APRIL 17; MAY 15; JUNE 19;

We are excited to introduce our newest local compassionate action monthly project with Fill-A-

Belly (FAB). This national organization provides weekly meals to those in need. EMC will be

providing monthly offerings each 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month

The next two dates to contribute to our EMC meal offering are February 27 and March 20.

Please plan to stay to serve your donated dish. This is best, but if not possible we will fin

someone to serve for you.

We ask that you arrive at San Dieguito United Methodist Church at 170 Calle Magdalena by 6:00 PM on

the evening you are delivering food. Expect to stay until about 7:30.

For every meal we will require 4 main dishes (2 of those heavy on protein), 4 cases of water

(preferably chilled), 4 cases of Gatorade or juice packets (Gatorade, or something like that, is

preferred), 4 side dishes (including veggies and fruits, or salad; though tossed garden salads

are difficult for some of the guests to eat), and 4 yummy homemade desserts. Each night

will serve between 40 to 60 guests. A good judge for planning how many your dish will serve is

to plan for 30 to 40 good-sized scoops.

EMC will provide most of the plates, bowls, cups, napkins, etc. all compostable.

We will also be asking for 2 additional volunteers at each meal: one to manage the waste

station and one to organize the ‘to-go’ activities.

Let’s get your donations scheduled now for the February 27th dinner!

This is what is still needed:

3 main dishes with 1 of those being heavy on the protein.

3 cases of Gatorade

3 cases of water

4 side dishes

4 yummy desserts

2 volunteers for to-go and trash support

Please text me (Lynn Stine) at 858-245-1478 with what or how you would like to contribute.

Right now FAB is especially looking for toiletries such

as small bottles of shampoo, body and hand lotion, tooth paste, razors, deodorant, chapstick,

washcloths, soap, small Kleenex packs, and the like. And also, always socks!]
